To assure the investment of the sonnen_system in a safe and sustainable way, an extensive safety concept was developed. All safety features are summarized under the term "safeguard".   Storm Control The wind monitoring consists of a wind sensor and a control unit. While the sensor supplies constantly reference values about the wind conditions, the controller evaluates this data and ensures that the sonnen_system drives in the horizontal position by a wind speed of 13 m/s. Voltage Control An integrated voltage-monitoring continuously checks the charge of the batteries. If it falls under a certain voltage level, the systems drive directly into the horizontal position. Storm Stabilizers In order to prevent possible damage, the sonnen_system is equipped with additional stabilizers. These causes that the module surface is fixed by storm and the decuman impacts of the wind are absorbed. Overdrive In this operation-mode, the elevation motor drives with double-speed into the horizontal position.
